Is there a guarantee on all products?
Absolutely, we stand behind all the tools we sell. All branded items are backed by the supplier/manufacturers warranty’s and we adhere to the Consumer Guarantee’s Act

What do you do with customer's personal information?
We keep all customer information strictly confidential. We do not use your information for any purpose other than to complete your transaction. We never sell, distribute or provide customer information to any other party for any reason. We will only ever contact you to make sure that you are happy with your purchase. How long will it take to get my product?
All orders are shipped 2 working days from the payment being confirmed. All small to medium sized items are dispatched by our courier company PBT Couriers, whilst larger items are hand delivered by our specialised freight company Jets Transport.

We have prearranged insurance on all items dispatched by both our courier and freight companies so we guarantee 100% that you will receive your item safe and sound!

Do you ship overseas?
No, sorry – NZ only. As such all currency is expressed in NZD.

Do you deliver to PO boxes?
No we do not deliver to PO Boxes. To ensure secure delivery of your purchase, all parcels are sent 'signature required', therefore we need a physical location (street address).

Do I have to sign for my parcel?
To make sure you get your parcel we send our items ‘signature required’. If you would prefer not to sign, please specify this in the 'special instructions' field at the check-out. Not signing for your item does mean you forfeit insurance on lost items.

How do courier charges work?
We freight and courier all items anywhere in New Zealand. Freight and courier charges are based on size and weight of the item and region the item is freighted to. Each item has a Nationwide or Rural Freight Charge. (a rural address can be identified with an RD in it).

How do I know you have received my order and payment?
Once your order has been placed and your payment has been processed, you will receive an email confirmation. When your items have been picked, packed and dispatched you will receive a final email informing you of the courier or freight details for your parcel. Orders are processed Monday – Friday between the times of 8am and 4pm Pacific Standard Time.

I don’t have a credit card... can I still purchase from tools.co.nz?
You sure can! Simply choose the 'Cash Deposit' option at the check-out. This allows you to make an internet transfer or cash deposit into our bank account. You will be provided our account details and your order will be sent as soon as your payment has cleared. It’s that easy!

I did not get an order confirmation.
A confirmation email is sent immediately after you place your order. Occasionally it may be blocked by your spam filter or placed in your junk mail folder. Check these areas and if you still cant see it, please email us on info@tools.co.nz

What is your returns policy?
Our return policy gives you 10 days from the date of delivery to return any product, provided it's new, unused and in the original packaging received. If an item is opened and deemed to be defective within 10 days from the date of delivery, please return the item to us, and we will replace it with an identical item.

What sort of warranty will I get on my power tools?
1 Year for Forge Tools
1 Year for DeWalt & StanleyTools
3 Years for Makita** tools 1 year on batteries.
**Selected Makita tools only have a 12 month warranty due to the country of origin
