If something falls short of your expectations please be sure to let us know and we'll do our best to make it right. Please note that we are unable to accept returns on some products due to their nature so please choose carefully.

In the event there is a fault with your product we are happy to replace your item. Faults must be reported within 10 days of you receiving the product. If the same item is not available, we will issue you with a store credit to use at tools.co.nz.


Returns policy
Your satisfaction is our number one priority and we want to offer you the best prices possible at Tools.co.nz. To do this we try to keep costs to a minimum including the cost of returned goods. Due to this we do not accept returns except where the basis of the return is covered by the Consumers Guarantees Act or Fair Trading Act.

When purchasing, please choose carefully, as we do not refund or exchange items simply because you changed your mind or the product was not what you expected. Goods damaged in transit must be reported to us within 24 hours of receipt so that we may make a claim under transit insurance.


Warranty policy
Our warranty policy covers products for 12 months from the purchase date. Warranty claims cover any fault, defect or failure occurring as a result of the manufacturing process. Damage or faults occurring as a result of misuse, accident, or wear and tear are not covered by our warranty policy. If we cannot repair your product we will replace it with a new one of the same or similar model. In cases where we cannot repair or replace the product, we will issue you with a refund.

If you feel your purchase has a fault that is covered under warranty, please contact us including as much detail as possible (where relevant, please include a photo of the fault) so we can assess the problem and provide a practical solution.

1 Year for Forge Tools
1 Year for DeWalt & Stanley Tools
3 Years for Makita tools *
1 year on batteries.

*Selected Makita tools only have 12 month warranty due to the country of origin


Cancellation.
If you decide to cancel your order after you have paid for it, but before you have received it, you can. We simply require a 30% restocking fee on the value of the items only. If you want to cancel your order, please contact us immediately with your order number.


Exchange policy
Please choose carefully as we are unable to exchange products once you've received your order unless we have made a genuine mistake in our description, or where your request to exchange is covered by the Consumers Guarantees Act or Fair Trading Act.


Out of stock and backorders
While we do everything we can to make sure our stock levels are accurate, there may be occasions due to unforeseen circumstances, where we are unable to fulfil your order or source a replacement product. If this should occur, we will contact you and offer either a store credit for the value of your purchase or a full refund. Please note we cannot offer a backorder or "rain check" facility.

The information and products displayed on this website are protected by copyright and other laws of New Zealand, and under similar laws and international conventions abroad. You must not copy, distribute, resupply, sell or otherwise deal with our intellectual property except with our prior written consent in each instance.


Incorrect item
In the rare event you receive the incorrect item; please contact us by email info@tools.co.nz within 2 days of receipt. The item must be unused and in perfect condition for resale - we will take care of the costs of returning the item and will package and post the correct item to you.
